When you create your account you can select your gender as M>F, F>M. Choosing the right option will ensure you are asked for the correct information. For example, we will not ask F>M for menstrual information which could cause offence.
Currently we have to interpret results against either male or female reference ranges; We will default to your birth gender and this is because we do not know at what stage of your transition journey you are at.
When you take a test, you will complete supporting information for the test. When you do this you can add a note to advise that you would like your results interpreted against male or female reference ranges, and share what medication and dosage you are on too.
We ask that you do this for each test that you take because not all bio-markers are effected in the same way as you transition (There is divided research on this). You do not have to share medication detail with us, but it can help the doctor who is reviewing your results.
In the future we would like this process to be more streamlined and have already made good leaps forward, working with some of our trans customers. Please be assured we are committed to getting it right and giving you whatever support that you need on your journey.
