Collecting your sample
There are a number of ways to provide your blood sample.
Many of our tests can be taken at home with a finger-prick sample. We will send you everything you need including clear instructions on how to collect a sample successfully.
If your sample is to be taken intravenously (i.e. from a vein in your arm) you can opt to attend a local clinic to have this done. This costs £25.
We have created a nationwide network of partner clinics where you can get your blood sample collected. Click on the link below to find the closest one to you.
Alternatively, you can opt to arrange this yourself. A venous blood draw should be undertaken by a qualified medical professional so if you know a nurse or a doctor who can help you, this is the option to choose.
Finally, you can opt to have a nurse visit your home or work place. This costs £39.
Post to our laboratory
All our test kits come with a prepaid first-class envelope to post your sample to our laboratory. It’s important that the sample arrives the following day, so it’s best to take your sample in the morning to catch the midday post. If you're worried that you can't rely on the post in your region, we suggest sending it guaranteed next day delivery to ensure the sample arrives in good time.
Once your results are back from the lab, we’ll post them securely to your own personal dashboard at my.medichecks.com. You’ll see at a glance which results are inside the normal range and which are not. Our doctors will comment on any abnormal results and advise what to do next.
We'll invite you to login to your account after you've bought your test to let us know when you've sent your sample, and to give us some information about your lifestyle, your current health and your family medical history. This helps our doctors interpret your test results. If you need to see your doctor, then you can print a copy of your results to take with you. Rest assured, we won't share your results with anyone.
