Will the high temperatures affect my sample?
Just like us humans, heat can affect our blood samples too. If a sample is exposed to direct sunlight for a length of time, there is a chance the sample may be spoilt. Our laboratories will inform us if your sample has been affected by the weather and we can arrange a repeat test if necessary.
I don't know when my postal collection times are.
You can find this information on Royal Mail's website here.
Where should I store my sample before posting?
We suggest keeping your sample in a cool, dark place until it is time to post. When we say dark - we mean not in direct sunlight.
I have taken my sample on a hot day, what happens next?
We would recommend waiting as close as you can to your local postal collection time.
What if my test has a specific sample time?
Still, keep to the advice in your special instructions which will mention any specific sample times that you will find in your confirmation email.
If it is not possible to meet all of these requirements, don't worry but you may wish to wait for cooler UK temperatures to avoid the possibility of retesting. All tests are valid for 120 days from purchasing to allow time for you to complete your test.
