How does the nurse home visit service work?
If you’d prefer not to visit a clinic, you can choose to have a nurse visit you at home or your workplace, as long as there’s a suitable space for the appointment.
At checkout, select the Nurse Home Visit option. We'll share your details with our trusted partners, Inuvi or Heim who will contact you to arrange a convenient appointment.
We’ll also send you a Medichecks sample kit, which the nurse will use to take your blood sample. Please have valid photo ID ready when the nurse arrives. This can be a driving licence (full or provisional) or a passport.
How much does the nurse home visit service cost?
The nurse home visit service costs £59 per person.
If more than one person is having a blood draw at the same location and time, each person will still be charged £59 individually.
When will I be contacted to arrange my appointment?
For Inuvi appointments, Inuvi will contact you within 48 working hours of placing your order to arrange your appointment.
While Inuvi covers most of the UK, there may be some areas where service is limited. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know and advise on your options.
If you need to change your appointment once this has been arranged, please contact your assigned nurse directly.
For Heim appointments, Heim will send you a text message shortly after your kit has been dispatched to arrange your sample collection. If you need to contact them, email hello@heim.health or use their live chat facility on their website www.heim.health after your kit arrives.
Will the nurse post my sample back to Medichecks?
You can ask the nurse to post the sample back to us on your behalf, we have provided a pre-paid tracked envelope within the sample kit.
We recommend you schedule an appointment Monday-Thursday where possible, to make sure that your sample can be posted on the same day and reach out laboratory promptly.
Will the nurse be wearing appropriate PPE?
Yes, the nurse will be equipped with:
✓ Alcohol gel
✓ Gloves
✓ Sanitising wipes
✓ Waste disposal bags
✓ Disposable tourniquet
Which areas are covered by the nurse home visit service?
Inuvi and Heim cover most of the UK. This service is not available outside the UK.
My order is currently with a clinic visit, can I change to a nurse home visit?
Yes, please contact our Customer Care Team to arrange an upgrade.
I haven't received contact from a nurse - what can I do?
If more than 2 working days has passed since your order was processed, and you have not yet received contact from a nurse, please let our Customer Care team know. We will be able to help you with the next steps.
