Venous blood sample options

For your safety, a venous blood sample must only be taken by a qualified healthcare professional. Never attempt to collect it yourself or allow someone who is not trained to do so.

You have three options for having a venous blood sample taken, so you can choose the one that suits you best:

• Visit a Medichecks partner clinic (+£35)
• Have a nurse home visit (+ £59)  

• Make your own arrangements to have your blood sample collected by a trained professional.

  Please note that by choosing this option, you are taking on the responsibility of sourcing your own trained phlebotomist, and covering any fees that are incurred. 

Using our Medichecks CE-marked kit, a qualified healthcare professional will use a needle to take blood from a vein, usually in your arm. 

The blood is collected into a tube (or several, depending on the test), allowing for a large volume of blood to check all necessary biomarkers.
