Medichecks makes private blood testing simple — no GP referral needed. Whether you’re exploring symptoms, tracking your fitness, or checking in on your general health, you can order a test online and get your results securely in your Medichecks account.
Here’s how it works:
1. Choose your test
Browse our range of health checks on medichecks.com, search by category, or use our Test Finder to help you choose.
We support a variety of payment methods, including PayPal and ClearPay for instalment-based payments. We do not currently support Klarna payments.
2. Receive your test kit
We’ll send your sample collection kit straight to your door.
Your kit includes everything you need to take your sample safely:
Sample collection tubes and labels
Lancets (for finger-prick kits) or a needle (for venous kits)
Prepaid return envelope and postage label
Cotton pad, alcohol wipe, and full instructions
Any documents needed for your specific test
For clinic visits and nurse home visits, we will still send a sample kit to you first. This phlebotomist will use this kit on the day of your blood draw.
3. Take your sample
Depending on the test you’ve ordered, you will take your sample in one of three ways:
At-home kits – follow the step-by-step instructions to collect your sample (finger-prick, saliva, or stool).
-
Clinic visit – your kit includes a clinic voucher and booking instructions, sent to you in your order confirmation email.
You can view clinic booking information after your sample kit has arrived with our Clinic Finder. Please wait until your sample collection kit has arrived before booking, and take your kit with you on the day of your appointment.
Home nurse visit – our partners Inuvi or Heim will contact you within 1–2 days to arrange your appointment. They’ll use your kit to take your sample during the visit.
Some tests can’t be completed using a finger-prick or self-collection method. On each test page, we’ll only show the sample collection options that are suitable for that test.
Make sure you check the Laboratory Request Form to confirm that the details are correct, and fill out the time and date your sample was taken.
4. Post your sample
For all sample types, use the prepaid envelope in your kit to send your sample back to our laboratory.
We recommend posting Monday to Thursday to avoid postal delays over the weekend.
5. Get your results
We’ll email you when your sample reaches the lab, and again when your results are ready.
Most results are available within 2–4 working days, but you can check the expected turnaround time on each test page.
6. View your results online
Log in to my.medichecks.com to view your results.
Unless you’ve chosen otherwise, your report will include doctor’s comments to help you understand your results and suggest any next steps.
