Do I need to stop taking my medication before taking a test?

Every test has a set of Special Instructions to help you get the most accurate results.

These instructions cover the best time of day to take your test, whether you need to eat beforehand, any medications or supplements you may need to pause (and for how long), and whether your test should be taken at a specific point in your menstrual cycle.

You’ll find the full list of Special Instructions on each test page at medichecks.com, and we’ll also send them to you in your Order Complete email.

For some tests, we may recommend you stop taking certain vitamins or supplements for a short period. If anything you take is prescribed, please speak to your doctor before stopping.

Please be aware that our clinics and nurse home-visit providers won’t have access to your test details and can’t advise on when to take your test. If you need any extra help, our Customer Care Team will be happy to guide you.
