If possible, we recommend that you do not take your sample over the weekend. This is because our service uses the postal service to transport your samples to the laboratory. Taking your sample during the week minimises the risk of any delays in the postal system.
Therefore, we recommend collecting your sample in the morning between Monday and Thursday so that you can make sure that you meet that day's post and that the sample isn't sitting around in a post box over the weekend.
If you are sending any samples on a Friday we would advise purchasing your own guaranteed next day delivery at the post office. This will then ensure your sample arrives at the laboratory on the Saturday before they close at 3 pm.
If you need to collect your sample over the weekend for any reason, then please contact us in advance so that we can advise you on the stability of the biomarkers in the test you are taking. Biomarkers degrade at different rates - some, like progesterone are stable for us to 72 hours while others may deteriorate more quickly. If you are in any doubt, please wait until after the weekend to collect your sample.
