Our finger-prick kits include three lancets to help you collect your sample.
On the collection tube, you’ll see two fill lines. We recommend filling the tube up to the second line to ensure there’s enough blood for testing. The exact amount may vary slightly depending on the test, but it’s usually around 0.6 ml.
It’s also important to collect a good-quality sample. Try to avoid squeezing or scraping your finger against the tube, as this can damage red blood cells and may mean your sample can’t be tested.
You can view our video here containing tips to help you take the sample.
Please make sure you only use the equipment provided in your kit when collecting your blood sample.
