I’m struggling with my finger-prick sample collection kit. What are my options?

We’re sorry to hear that you are struggling with your finger-prick collection kit.

If you have used all three of your lancets, but you have not collected a sample, we have a few options for you for your next steps. 

These are:

• Requesting a replacement sample collection kit.

If this was your first time, and you want to have another go at a finger-prick collection, we are happy to send you a replacement kit free of charge. Please just let us know if you would like to arrange this and we can get this dispatched.

• Upgrading to a venous draw

If you would prefer to switch to having a venous sample collection, there are three ways you can do this.

You can upgrade to have your sample taken at one of our partner clinics for an additional payment of £35. You can find your nearest clinic by clicking here.

Alternatively, we can arrange for a nurse to come to you at a cost of £59. 

Finally, if you know somebody qualified to draw blood, such as another doctor or a nurse outside of our network, we can send the venous sample collection kit for them to use. However, it is important that blood samples are taken at licenced premises. There is no charge from us for making your own arrangements, but you may need to pay a blood draw fee at the premises you choose.
