We ask everyone to enter the time and date they took their sample in their results portal. Even though you will have given this information to the laboratory, we as that you log it in your portal too to ensure it's available for our doctors when they are reviewing your results.
We need to know the time and date of your sample for some tests so that we can apply the correct reference range to your results. Knowing the time of day you took your sample also helps our doctor's comments and advice for some of your test results. For example, some hormone levels are highest in the morning and a low result at 9 am may be more significant than a low result at 5 pm.
