Exposing a blood sample to high temperatures can affect the stability of the sample. We advise that, if possible, samples are to be taken to a post office rather than placed in a post box.
If this is not possible, check your local postal collection times and keep your sample in a dark and cool environment for as long as possible, until it is time to post it.
Our laboratories will inform us if your sample has been affected by the weather and we can arrange a repeat test if necessary.
If you have any concerns please contact our customer care team who will be happy to advise further.
